Activity 4.2.1 - Medical Detectives
In this activity, we were given a case of a 44 year old women with Type I Diabitis, and, penultimately, had poor health over the last 10 years. Given her list of symptoms, including irritability, fluid retention, bad breath, muscle tone loss, etc., she was ultimately confirmed to have End-Stage Renal Disease. This is a disease of the kidney, in which it shuts down and can no longer function properly, causing her blood to become filled with impurities, toxins, and waste. SHe may die from this disease, and she will be missed by many.
